Something strange is happening in Moonbeam Meadow. Flowers are bursting from the ground, vines are twisting through the grass, and hidden among it all is Violet, a frightened little bear cub whose feelings bring the meadow to life. With help from the Keepers, Violet begins to discover that what she feared might actually be something wonderful.

Inside the Adventure

After each chapter, learners dig deeper into the story through engaging comprehension questions that explore characters, clues, humor, feelings, cause and effect, and what the story really means. Then the final chapter hands the story over to them: they’ll brainstorm what Violet should grow, plan their ideas, write the ending themselves, and illustrate the meadow they imagined.
